A rare, early-17th century, oak, boarded high stool

The single plank top resting on a shaped frieze with bracket ends. The trestle ends also shaped, joined by a shaped stretcher, and on sledge feet with later blocks. There is a nail in the inside edge of one of the supports, probably used as a hook to hide a purse.
