Unusual Vintage Metal Tree Trunk Heartwood Low Coffee Table on Tripod Base Using metal as the medium creates an elegant, light, fluid form which would not be possible in wood a The thin, 3mm, top is beautifully woodgrained showing the heartwood, numerous rings, two knots and a simulated crack. It would not be possible to have a wooden top this thin as it would not be strong enough to support objects. The tripod base with delicate handsculpted tapering legs simulating branches length 40 depth 39 height 50 top thickness 3mm
