A good, pair of 19th century walnut stools with tapestry upholstery
The stuff-over seats upholstered in 19th century, machine-woven tapestry. One with a horse facing a stag with parrot above and a porcupine and frog in the foreground. The other with a horse facing a goat with a peacock and parrot above and fish in the foreground. The sides faced in a thick, 19th century braid. Standing on barley-twist legs and stretchers. The legs with carved flowerheads on the blocks. Good original colour and patina. Probably French, first quarter of the 19th century.
