A fine, early-18th century, walnut stool with a needlework top
The drop-in seat, mostlikely original, upholstered in 18th century needlework depicting a stylised vase of flowers within a cartouche. The deep frieze with a lip-moulded edge. Standing on elegant, cabriole legs with carved knees and terminating in pad feet. The legs joined by an 'H' stretcher. Excellent original colour and patina. English, first quarter of the 18th century.
