11411
A really comfortable armchair with a striking, saddle-effect seat and matching ottoman echoing and complementing the curves of the armchair. Both retaining their original brown suede upholstery. Harmonic steel frames, injected polyurethane foam and cotton fibre filled cushions.
Designed by circa 1962 by Vittorio Introini for the pioneeringl proposals Saporiti Italia collection. Founded in 1950, Saporiti is still designing and producing some of the most sophisticated and advanced pieces of furniture in the history of Italian design, in collaboration with some of the most famous international architects and designers. Each design is innovative anticipating the future and intended to survive, both in form and function, until the next era. Some of the Saporiti Italia pieces can be found in the most famous modern art and design museums in the world.
Original vintage condition with a lovely patina of wear. The pile of the suede is lightly worn on the headrest and on the arms (more prominent in the images). The cushions are secured with the original zips. The original zip on the ottoman cushion is broken and has been left as it original and does not affect the cushion remaining in place.
Measures: Chair 31.5" H x 36" W x 32" D, ottoman 13" H x 29.5" W x 22" D.
