A Bologna, walnut, Baroque, open armchair upholstered in green and ivory damask

This throne armchair is characteristic of those found in long sets in Venetian Palazzo's in the late-Renaissance/early-Baroque period.

The shaped back and double-row front stretcher are characteristic of the Bologna region, injecting a monumental aesthetic with gravitas.

The sage green and ivory damask is elegant and blending with most color schemes.

It would harmonize with period, modern and contemporary interiors.

It came from a private collection of an interior design from a Grade 2 Listed 17th century house that was remodeled in the 18th century with a Palladian front.
