The inside centre decorated with the inscription "My wife drinks tea & I will have punch", and the rim with six double-scrolls and dashes interposed. The edge brown. The outside decorated with a double-trellis border above nine repeats of a stylised-mimosa pattern and flying insects with a double circle border below. Bearing the label "Gautier Collection no 245". Decorated in blue on a whitish glaze. In original condition. Probably London, third quarter of the 18th century.
