A rare mid-18th century, dated 1735 and initialled EP delftware bowl

The inside centre inscribed with the initials "EP", and the date "1735" inside a double-circle border. The inside rim decorated with two double-circle borders. The outside decorated with a large, flowering tree with acrobatic birds and flying insects either side, and a pheasant sitting on one of two banded hedges with projecting leaves, flowerheads and trailing stems. The upper border with five artemisia leaf reserves with diaper interposed, and the lower border with single, double and thick circles. Decorated in blue on a pale, blue glaze. Restoration to a break and rim, glaze chips. Probably London, 1735.
