Upholstered in a burgundy/rust-red velvet with 17th century Italian embroidered panels on the back of one and the back and sides of the other. These panels are different on each settee but blend in well together. The embroidery has been cleaned, conserved and stabilized. Both settees have 18th century tassels made from gold threads, gold fringe and some period gold braid remaining.
