- Rare small size. - Pared down form to emphasize the exceptional figuring, color and patina - Unusual to find a drawer displaying the full beauty of the figuring which has never been fitted with a knob or handle

Single plank top and frieze drawer with exceptionally fine figuring. The drawer is designed to opened from underneath so that a knob or handle does not detract from the beautiful figuring. The shaping of the frieze softens the form. The form of the legs and stretchers are pared down to emphasize the fine grain of the chestnut. Exceptional original color and patina, first half of the 18th century.
