A rare pair of early-18th century English delftware drug jars with their original iron covers

One decorated with a songbird cartouche inscribed "C:FLAV:AURAN" (sweet mixture of yellow oranges). The other decorated with a songbird cartouche inscribed "U:TUTIAE" (zinc oxide ointment). Decorated in blue on a whitish glaze. In orginal condition. Probably London, circa 1750.

These are the only, known, examples of a pair of drug jars with their original covers in English delftware, and it has therefore not been possible to cross reference these jars. It is remarkable that they are in their original condition, especially the covers.
