The plank top, which has been scrubbed at some point during its life, is made from four boards which have some old patches and later cleats facing each end. The frieze is dated ' 1594 ' and is, unusually, moulded at the front and plain along the sides and back. The legs are chamfered and supported by square stretchers with some old repairs. English. This table is hard to date precisely, it is 17th century at latest but most likely earlier and the carved date could be original to the base.
