Cobridge stoneware : eagles catching fish with owl hovering, table lamp, 43cm., 17" high This lamp depicts the narrative of the eagle fishing Of interest to the ornithologist or Cobridge collectors The front with a large stylised eagle on a branch surveying the water and the back with two eagles one diving and the other flying away with a fish in his claws with a large owl hovering overhead. Palette in tones of blue, green, grey, brown, orange, yellow, red. The underside with Cobridge stamp. Designer unknown, possibly Andrew Hull whose designs were inspired by the Martin Brothers. c1999

Sitting inside a wooden stand. Electrified with gold flex. Private collection along with two trawler and seabirds lamps.
