An unusual, pair of vintage, Lake & Elliot, metal, car jacks, circa 1950, upcycled into 18" high table lamps

- Unusual conversation piece; part of automobile history, of interest to car collectors - Lake & Elliot set the standard for the automobile industry. Every British vehicle that took part in the D-Day landings in World War II carried a Lake & Elliot jack.

- Stamped on both sides Lake & Elliot Ltd, Braintree, England, S473, 8½ INS, 4ton and Hydro, Patent No's 322507, 369761 O. - Statement and conversation piece; introducing an aspect of industrial history into the interior. Tactile with fluid form.

- Juxtapose with period interiors and blend into modern and contemporary schemes. - The grey and brown patina are warm and harmonise with most colour schemes. - The conversion is recent so they conform to UK Electrical PAT standards.
